The fastest way to get to the hostel is by TAXI/UBER/Bolt. Taxi, UBER and Bolt in Bucharest are really cheap (it costs around 2,5 lei/km) and it would cost around 10-12 euros (50-60 lei) from the airport and around 3-5 euros (15-25 lei) from the train station. We recommend UBER/Bolt over TAXI because with UBER/Bolt you know what you are paying upfront. TAXI drivers may try to negotiate a higher price. Sorry, it’s not actually a possibility – most of the times they will try to negociate a higher price.
The most cost effective way to get to the hostel is by public transport. Below you can read directions from the airport (OTP) and from the train station (Gara de Nord):
From the Airport:
Take bus 783 from the airport Otopeni and get off at the last bus stop in Piata Unirii. Bus 783 goes 24 hours per day with a frequency of a bus each 20 minutes during daytime & a bus every 40 minutes during night time (22.30 – 5.30). You have to purchase a 2 way ticket which costs 9 lei, approx. 2 euros. You can find the kiosk in front of Arrivals Terminal.
At Piata Unirii stop get out off the bus, walk to your right straight for about 400 m on Bd. Dimitrie Cantemir until first big crossroad (it’s a big clock in the intersection), go left on Bulevardul Mărășești, walk for about 1 minute, at the first zebra crossing, after Hotel Dalin, go right on Cuza Voda street, then take the first street to the left. At Bucur no. 21 you’ll find a big courtyard. Come in, we are at the gray building on your left. Welcome! 🙂
From the Trainstation (Gara de Nord):
Go to “Gara de Nord 1” subway station and get on the Yellow Line going to Pantelimon. At the 7th stop get off the train at Unirii Square (Piața Unirii) and take a right and get out of the subway station. As you’re climbing the stairs to get out, keep walking straight for about 400 m on Bd.
